A Big Summer for Broadway Fans

Charlotte continues to attract some of Broadway's biggest touring productions, making it easier than ever to enjoy a New York-caliber theater experience without leaving town.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is currently lighting up the Belk Theater through May 31 with dazzling costumes, over-the-top sets, and a soundtrack packed with modern hits. Winner of 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, it's one of the hottest tickets in Charlotte this season.

Coming later this summer, & Juliet arrives in August, flipping Shakespeare's classic love story on its head with a soundtrack featuring Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys, and other pop favorites. It's witty, empowering, and incredibly fun.

If you're planning ahead, the upcoming Broadway season also includes highly anticipated productions like Hell's Kitchen, The Great Gatsby, and Dirty Dancing, giving theater lovers plenty to look forward to beyond summer.

For those of us who love Charlotte's arts scene, summer is the perfect reminder that you don't have to live in New York to enjoy world-class performances.
