My favorite daily read, Charlotte Agenda, put out a great article two years ago reviewing--The 12 best custom home builders in Charlotte 2018. Two years later, I still reference this list to clients who are on a quest for a great homebuilder. However, I'm fortunate enough to be "in the know" for a few builders that aren't on the list that would definately make the cut if it was recounted today. See my take below.
Royal Building Group
This company was officially established in 2017 and is on the forefront of building what is becoming known as New Modern Charloppean-- a design flair all of it's own. The company may seem new but owner Billy Royal has been in the Charlotte scene for a while, starting his building career with locally renowned Grandfather Homes. You'll see RBG Homes ranging from Taj-ma-Tillies in Chantilly to cutting edge luxury duets in Myers Park.

If you've driven through Chantilly, chances are you've see a Timberline Homes custom build going on. This husband and wife team are laser-focused on providing a great experience through the construction process and are dedicated to green building as a Preferred Energy Star builder.

Fun Fact: While Timberline Homes doesn't build many homes a year, they have a huge following which is evident in their client testimonials! Seems to me that Ben and Kelly are the "Chip and Joanna" of Chantilly.
